Story line
During two months, Egon Humer was observing doctors and nurses in the cancer ward of a Viennese children hospital, taking care of their young patients in extreme situations between life and death. The film shows those people in the moments of highest pressure: Their dismay as well as helplessness in confrontation with the destinies they have to deal with and their efforts and attempts to handle it.
